The first screen, before and after

1. A call button on the first screen, and a menu phone link that works
Before
The first screen had no way to get in touch. The phone links were further down the page, and the phone link in the menu was broken: it pointed to "http://tel+1..." instead of a phone number, so tapping it did nothing.
After
A "Call now" button sits under the heading on the first screen, on phones and computers, in white on brown so it passes the contrast check. The menu link now dials the number, and all 5 places the number appears use the same current number.
How we checked
The button shows in the first screen at every size we test, from a 390px phone to a 1920px monitor, with no sideways scrolling.
Not part of this fix
The contact form still cannot send, because the site has no email sending set up (finding 2). Connecting email needs the owner's own email account, so it is on the owner's list.
2. A homepage heading and title that say what and where
| Before | After | |
|---|---|---|
| Main heading | Effortless and Affordable Flooring Solutions for Your Space, plus the company name hidden inside the heading with hidden code (Google treats hidden text as a spam signal) | Flooring Installation in Orlando, FL, with no hidden text |
| Title (the browser tab and Google's blue link) | Home - Flooring Orlando - Serving the Greater Orlando Area - [Company] (83 characters, so Google cuts it off) | Flooring Installation in Orlando, FL | [Company] (53 characters) |
| Description (the grey text in Google) | 247 characters about a flooring store, cut off in Google | 149 characters: vinyl plank, hardwood, tile and laminate installation in Orlando and Kissimmee, plus the phone number |
How we checked
The page has exactly one main heading, no hidden text, and the browser tab and Google's listing show the new title and description.
3. Clean business schema
Schema is the code that tells Google "this is a local business, here is what it does and where". Here is what changed.
| Before | After | |
|---|---|---|
| Business type | A general local business | A home and construction business |
| Star ratings | 4.7 and 4.9 on three flooring types, with no review counts | Removed: Google does not show ratings a business gives itself |
| Reviews | One 5-star review typed into the code | Removed: Google ignores reviews a business publishes about itself |
| What it sells | Hardwood, laminate and rigid core marked as products for sale | 4 installation services: vinyl plank, hardwood, tile and laminate, the ones the site describes |
| Service area | 16 areas, including The Villages and Winter Haven | The 7 towns in the plan: Orlando, Kissimmee, Celebration, Windermere, Winter Garden, Lake Buena Vista and Sand Lake |
| Offers | A 5% discount that appears nowhere on the site | Removed |
| Phone | An old number | The current number, the same one the page shows |
How we checked
The new schema reads cleanly, holds no rating or review markup, and lists the 4 services the site describes and the 7 towns in the plan.
